CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES
Train blindé BP 42 :
Lors de la seconde guerre mondiale, les forces allemandes alignèrent au mieux quelques quatre-vingt trains blindés, principalement sur le front de l'Est. Début 1942, le concept d'un train blindé polyvalent se matérialise sous l'appellation BP 42. Ce nouveau type de train possède une artillerie efficace, dont de la DCA et une forte composante infanterie de 118 hommes.
La locomotive Krupp était fabriquée à Essen, les wagons à Breslau par Linke-Hoffman. La constitution du train était symétrique, la locomotive occupant la place centrale.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
BP 42 armoured train:
A maximum of some eighty armoured trains have been operated during WWII by the German forces, mainly on the eastern front. Early 1942 arouse the concept of a polyvalent armoured train under the form of the BP 42. This new type of train owns potent artillery with AA guns along with a strong infantry capability with 118 men.
The locomotive was manufactured by Krupp in Essen whilst the wagons were made in Breslau by Linke-Hoffman. The BP 42's composition was symmetrical with the locomotive placed in the middle of it.
