CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES
Conçu en 1942 pour monter le PaK 43 de 88 mm sur le châssis du Pz. III/IV, le Nashorn fut construit à un peu moins de 500 exemplaires.
Ces automoteurs antichars dotaient les détachements indépendants de chasseurs de chars lourds rattachés aux corps d'Armées, pour constituer une force mobile d'un emploi flexible. Ses débuts au combat eurent lieu contre les soviétiques à l'été 1943 avec le 655ème détachement de chasseur de chars lourds.
Le Nashorn fut utilisé tant sur le front ouest et italien que sur le front de l'est.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The Nashorn has been built to less than 500 units. It's been designed in 1942 to mount the PaK 43 88 mm gun onto the Pz. III/IV chassis.
The SdKfz. 164 equipped independent heavy tank-destroyers detachments under an Army or Corps orders thus constituting a mobile force with a flexible use. It first saw combat with the 655th heavy tank-destroyer detachment in the summer 1943 against the Soviet forces.
This anti-tank vehicle fought on the Eastern and Western (ssand Italy) fronts
